One of the local events sponsored by the Bank of St. Francisville is the Bank-at-School or Bank of St. Bainsville and Bank of Tunicaville.
Dollars, cents, savings, and withdrawals are new vocabulary words to 5th and 6th grade students at Bains Elementary and Tunica Elementary. These students are part of the Louisiana Bank-At-School program in partnership with Bank of St. Francisville. This "real" bank, complete with student tellers is open twice monthly for students to make deposits into their savings accounts. Accompanying the actual bank days is the classroom educational component of money management and financial skill building for years to come. |
